Ann Arbor Senior Photography
I feel like I'm dating myself here, but back when I was a senior (in the stone age apparently) most senior photos were simple and in a studio. Now with the digital photography era, senior photos have become a way for teens to express themselves and have fun while doing it! I love working with seniors who have a solid grasp on who they are and aren't afraid to get a little silly. Do they have an artistic soul and want to go into the woods at dusk with a lantern? I'm down. Do they want to go for a hike in the woods and wear their favorite band's t shirt? Let's go! Are they looking for a sweet session in a field of wild flowers? I'm here for it! It's a classic for a reason. Basically I want to make sure this investment in your senior gives you the photos you want to hang on your wall, while also honoring the person you've watched grow into an amazing human. Senior photos shouldn't be stuffy, inauthentic, or boring. They should be a reflection of that cool teenager you love.

"We had Emily take senior photos of our son, and the pictures turned out great. He has a specific style and a unique aesthetic but she worked with him to capture terrific images of what his personality truly is. And it was a fun and relaxed photo shoot as well! 10 out of 10. Would recommend."
Senior photos should not be a bore OR a chore. My goal with every session is for everyone to have a fun time, be themselves, go explore, and forget about the camera. Yes we'll stop at times for the perfect photo, but for the most part it's an adventure that everyone enjoys.
I have a prep guide I send to every senior with info on what to wear (or what not to wear), what activities we might get up to during the session, and tutorials on how to use my gallery software. And I'm always here to help between booking and the session!
At the end of the call I'll send you a link to everything we covered, and a proposal so you can choose your session, sign the contract, and pay your deposit all at your convenience. Once your deposit is paid I'll send you everything you need for the best session ever!
I love to start by chatting on the phone to make sure we are a good fit for each other. I want you to be confident that I'm the photographer for you and your senior! We'll go over general details, and you can ask me questions right as they pop up.

"Emily was absolutely amazing to work with! She captured our daughter’s spirit in her work and we are so grateful! When we interviewed her, our daughter said…”I don’t need to talk to anyone else, she’s the one I want to work with” and what a wonderful experience it was!
I highly recommend Emmy & Ollie Photography, she really deserves 10 stars!!"
Fall is busy busy busy for photos, everyone loves the changing colors. It's my favorite season, but because most schools have a senior photo deadline around November 1st, it's best to either schedule early or in a difference season completely.
Summer is probably one of the easiest times for photos. Most kids are out of school, there are SO many activities to choose from, and the light (especially golden hour) is amazing for photos.
This is the quintessential time for photos in my opinion! Yes the weather is still unpredictable, but the flowers are AMAZING and there are so many beautiful spots for photos!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE winter light. It's so beautiful and can create the most dreamy photos, but you know, it's cold. It's also wildly unpredictable. Indoor is a safe bet during the cold months, but I'm willing to get chilly if you are!
Yes absolutely! You have the option to add more locations and more time depending on what your senior is looking for in their photos. They only get to do this once so let's give them the experience they deserve after working so hard in school!
Yep! I don't have any restrictions on outfit changes, however our session is based on a set amount of time so a change eats into that time. You are able to add more time increments at booking if your senior has multiple outfit plans.
Great question! I will typically have your photos ready within 2-3 weeks. You can always let me know if you need them sooner than that and I can see what I can do.
Don't worry, this happens all the time. If we need to reschedule due to weather, I will work with you to find a good solution. If you are unable to change dates, then we may consider changing locations. I have suggestions for great indoor spots, but I'm also not afraid of a little rain (and neither is my camera, ask me how I know).
